RollMates Terms of Use
Last updated: October 1, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and RollMates (Adam Gilani) about using the RollMates app. By creating an account or using RollMates, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use RollMates.
Who can use RollMates
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- Keep your account to yourself, and pick a username that doesn't pretend to be someone else or RollMates.
Your photos and content
- Your photos stay yours. You keep all rights to the photos, rolls, comments and films you make.
- When you share a roll, comment, react or publish a film, you give RollMates permission to store it and show it to the people you shared it with (your mates, or everyone for published films), only to run the app. This ends when you delete it or your account, except for copies kept briefly in backups.
- Only share photos and content you have the right to share. Don't post other people's photos or personal information without their permission.
No tolerance for objectionable content or abuse
RollMates is for sharing photos with friends. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive people. You agree not to post, share or send anything that:
- is sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits or endangers children,
- is pornographic or sexually explicit,
- harasses, bullies, threatens, or encourages violence or self-harm,
- is hateful toward people because of who they are (like race, religion, gender, sexuality or disability),
- shows or promotes illegal activity, or breaks someone else's rights, like copyright or privacy,
- is spam, a scam, or pretends to be someone else.
Reporting and blocking
- You can report a person, a roll, a comment or a film in the app, and block anyone. Blocking stops you seeing each other's content and ends any mateship.
- The RollMates team reviews reports, usually within 24 hours. We may hide rolls, remove films or comments, and suspend or close accounts that break these terms, without notice when needed to keep people safe.
- We report content that exploits children to the appropriate authorities.
Films you publish
Published films are public: anyone on RollMates can find, save and remix them. Don't use real film brand or product names in published films. You can unpublish a film at any time, but copies others already saved stay with them.
Your rolls are on your iPhone
RollMates keeps your full-quality rolls on your iPhone. They're included in your iPhone's iCloud Backup, but if you delete the app, your rolls are deleted too. Shared rolls are copies; they aren't a backup of your originals. Please save photos you care about to your photo library or another backup.
The app itself
- RollMates is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, together with these terms.
- Don't misuse RollMates: no hacking, scraping, overloading our servers, or getting around limits and privacy settings.
- Features may change or stop, and things may occasionally break.
Disclaimers and limits
RollMates is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, RollMates isn't liable for lost photos or data, or for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (if any). Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Delete Account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for significant changes, let you know in the app. Using RollMates after a change means you accept the new terms.
